July 23, 2016, Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center

Thanks to all of our Tribute Through Service Project volunteers.  It is through your volunteer efforts we were able to show our appreciation for the First Responders in the Greater New Orleans Area for their service during Hurricane Katrina and September 11 events.

Prevent Death By LifeStyle Initiative

High Voltage hosted a Prevent Death By LifeStyle New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation event at Excel Academy, on Friday, October 30, 2009.  There were plenty of laughs, tears, song and dance to share with everyone.  Next event is at Fredrick Douglass Senior High School.

Global Youth Day of Service 2009

In honor of Global Youth Service Day, The Staples Foundation for Learning and HandsOn New Orleans supported High Voltage's Mother's Day service learning project. During this project, 34 students volunteered alongside students from UNO / Nelson Charter School in order to create colorful flower pots for seniors living in John J. Hainkel, Jr. Home and Rehabilitation Center. Following the day of service, students returned to the senior center in order to give an oral presentation to the community about what the learned from the gardening activity and in order to present seniors with the plants.
